The Yard Atelier CIC is a Manchester-based social enterprise and fashion incubator dedicated to empowering the next generation of designers by offering access to industry-standard equipment, one-on-one mentoring and specialised studio space, all grounded in a mission to revive slow-made, locally manufactured fashion in the city’s historic micro-manufacturing landscape.

What we offer

Membership

Access the Pattern Studio & Machine Studio for 2 or 4 full days per week (morning and/or afternoon sessions) to develop your fashion apparel or accessory designs. Costs from £125-250 per month (for a 4-week period)

Studio Spaces Rental

Hire out well-equipped workspaces — the Machine Studio and Pattern Studio — each featuring industrial sewing machines, overlockers, embroidery machines, mannequins and other professional kit.  Hourly and day rates available upon request.

Community Workshops

Sessions open to creative individuals, community members and those from marginalised backgrounds offering skills in garment making, up-cycling, textiles and fashion design in a safe and inclusive environment.  Costs subject to programme and cohort size.
